three small bars;
self-tapping screws;
construction glue;

First, attach the guide profiles to the wall in the marked places using a screwdriver. Check the correctness with a level and a plumb line. Then start building the podium. This will be some space in front of the fireplace. The size of the podium depends only on your imagination and the availability of free space in the room. The podium is attached with the same guides to the floor and the strips on the walls arranged along the edges. The upper part of the podium is fastened with screws at a certain height between the wall profile and is reinforced at the bottom by uprights going from the floor profile to the upper base of the podium. In this case, it does not matter where you will have a fireplace - in the corner or against the wall. The principle is the same.

Now you need to make the side racks.Their distance from the wall is chosen depending on the total width of the portal and how much space in it the fireplace installation will take. The guides are attached in the same way with screws, fixing to the podium, walls and the upper part of the frame, which is done at the same time.

When constructing the frame, immediately consider the space for the firebox and other structural elements of the electric fireplace. It is very important that they remain open. After the installation of the main frame is over, it must be additionally strengthened. For these purposes, a rack-mount profile is used. The uprights are attached to the rails with screws over the entire height and width of the portal. As a result, you will get something like this frame design.

Particular attention should be paid to the frame near the immediate location of the fireplace insert. It is proposed to sheathe this place along the perimeter of the firebox at a distance of about 5 mm from it. Having decided on the place of installation of the fireplace, draw a sketch of the future type of the portal on a sheet of paper. Put on your sketch the dimensions of the portal that you are going to assemble, calculate the amount of material you need (do not forget that the sheet material will be attached to the frame, which can be either wooden blocks or a metal profile) and go to score. Some stores provide a service right away for sawing large sheets of material into small pieces, so bring your drawing with you so that you will have to do less at home later.

Since the portal of the electric fireplace will not necessarily be screwed to the floor (it is enough to attach it later to the wall to keep it from accidental falls), the frame of the portal for the electric fireplace with your own hands can be assembled in the wrong place where you will install it.

First, assemble the bottom of the frame (bottom rectangle or triangle).

The first is to check that the dimensions of the fireplace and portal match each other. If flaws are found, then they must be corrected immediately. Second - you need to take care of the electrical wiring to the fireplace in advance. To do this, make all the necessary openings and cutouts in the walls inside the portal. If there is no outlet nearby, equip that too. Only then can you start to work on the cladding.

Plasterboard cladding of the fireplace is done gradually. It is best to start this from the catwalk and front, gradually working towards the edges. In this case, make the corners especially carefully. If necessary, you can use a special corner drywall sheet. Just cut out the height and width you need in advance so that you don't have to suffer later.

All drywall sheets are planted on self-tapping screws using a screwdriver. They are attached to the frame strictly in the designated places. The minimum distance between the edges is about 20 cm.This is the minimum distance for the fastening to be secure. In the process of working with a level, check the evenness of the coating and immediately, if necessary, correct mistakes or lightly knock the sheets with a hammer.

Chimney

To fully imitate a real fireplace, you can make a chimney over it from the same materials as the portal. Its depth is usually only 10 centimeters, but the finish should either be exactly the same as that of the portal, or complement it harmoniously. The chimney can also be used as a TV base.

The chimney itself should begin immediately above the portal, and end, resting against the ceiling. Therefore, it must be assembled simultaneously with the manufacture of the portal frame.
